| PRAYER TO FATHER PIO FOR HELP Father Pio, behold I am afflicted in body, mind, or soul (which-ever it may be). Lest my courage begin to fail and impatience and sadness oppress me, I beg your kind intercession, to relieve me of this illness if it be God’s holy will. You loved the sick and the afflicted. Obtain for me strength and courage to accept this trial from the loving hand of God with patience and resignation. Help me to imitate you in your sufferings from the wounds in your hands and feet and side. I unite myself with Christ Crucified and my sorrowful Mother for his honor and salvation of souls, especially my own. May suffering lead me to a better life and enable me to atone for my sins and the sins of the world. Amen. |
